Christmas Fun at St Petroc’s Bodmin

Friday 13th December saw Bodmin Town Band’s annual Christmas concert at St. Petroc’s Church Bodmin. It was the first formal concert for the new MD Gwilym Davies (G) and the audience were treated to a fabulous variety of Christmas music, some old, some new, but all very festive amongst the many Christmas Trees.

Soloists were Flugel Horn player Yasmin Stevens with A Winter’s Tale (Mike Batt arr. J. Maines) and Euphonium player Neythen Powell-Jones with O Holy Night (Adolphe Adam arr. Keith Wilkinson).

The band brought out their Christmas jumpers and hats for the second half and were back to carolling on Saturday morning at Trago Mills, Liskeard and Griggs, St Austell.

Catch a few players on the evening of 23rd December outside Flory’s Restaurant Bodmin for more Christmas tunes.
